Waterfront and New Centrality
The city of Bar counts up almost 42.000 people, and it is supposed to have an important development as a subsequence of the new Statute of Montenegro.
WATERFRONT - The plan suggests the transformation of the two rivers embracing the city into two marines, shifting from 1 km of waterfront up to 4,5 km. The continuation of the existing harbour will adopt the function of tourist marine, articulating the junction between port area and the public waterfront, where public buildings will overlook.
CLUSTERS - The south-east area is currently characterized by an irregular built up area formed by small constructions, however the project gives it a precise public space organisation with an additional program along its borders. For the North area, currently not urbanized, the project suggests a new grid emphasizing the directionality towards the sea.
