Lausanne Plaines du Loup
The two basic conditions for a new urbanity in "Plaines-du-Loup" are establishing a new metabolism and a specific morphology for the site.
Lausanne is a city of "fine grain", where it is not possible to find a large Central Park with tall buildings on its perimeter, so we believe that the establishment of many intermediate spaces that allow different approaches, functional and social, is adapting itself to the new Lausanne Contemporary complexity.
This diversity of public space is the result of applying a geometric model (pattern), a grid that organizes both the empty space as constructed. The uniqueness of this scheme, compared to conventional models, is the fact that it was not designed to stimulate mobility, but rather, it is a green grid that organizes the different functions of contemporary public space(free time, leisure, walking, ride bikes, orchards, etc.).
